ULTRA WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCES
ROAD TO ULTRA THAILAND
September 26, 2014
at BITEC Bangna
For the first time ever in Thailand, Ultra Worldwide will bring the ultimate dance music experience to Bangkok for Road To Ultra Thailand presented by SAMSUNG. ULTRA WORLDWIDE is the global brand of the World’s Premier Electronic Music event ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL.
The ULTRA brand, which was founded in 1997 by Executive Producer, President & CEO Russell Faibisch, started producing electronic music events in Florida, which led to the inaugural Ultra Music Festival in 1999 on the sands of Miami Beach. The internationally renowned festival, which has taken place every March since its inception, celebrated its 16th anniversary from March 28-30, 2014 by bringing over 165,000 music enthusiasts to the sold out waterfront event in the heart of the City of Miami.
Choosing to follow a unique, creative vision and a wholly organic growth focused around a true love for music, artists and fans alike, Ultra Worldwide is not only the world’s biggest and most successful remaining INDEPENDENT electronic music festival brand, it is now the most international of any festival brand in the world by far, as it continues to transport the unrivalled experience from its Miami flagship festival to an ever-growing number of destinations and fans all over the globe.
Over the past 16 years, literally thousands of the world’s most iconic DJs, producers and live acts have mesmerized audiences with awe-inspiring sets at Ultra festivals in ARGENTINA, BRAZIL, CHILE, CROATIA, IBIZA, KOREA, SOUTH AFRICA and of course MIAMI, and ROAD TO ULTRA events in SEOUL, TOKYO, COLOMBIA, CHILE and TAIWAN. Each and every new global edition has been founded on the same successful formula that has been perfected over 16 years in Miami, combining the most diverse electronic talent with the most technologically advanced, large scale festival productions in the world.
2014 sees an unstoppable expansion of the Ultra and Ultra Worldwide brands with burgeoning global editions. The Ultra experience is ready to explode in nine countries across five continents including the first ever Road To Ultra Thailand.
In the very first installment of Road To Ultra Thailand, the 18-year-old breakthrough MARTIN GARRIX will be one of the four headliners performing at this epic debut event. Inspired by Tiësto who he saw playing a live set in the Olympics 2004 on TV, the young Dutch prodigy has since given all to DJing and making beats. In 2010, Martin Garrix hit the stage at a club in Amsterdam. In 2013, he unleashed "Animals". The breakout international single for Spinnin' Records climbed to #1 on the Beatport Top Songs Chart upon release and held the spot for four weeks. The monster hit received support from the likes of David Guetta, Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Afrojack and Benny Benassi. In addition to his collaborations with Jay Hardway, Firebeatz, Dillon Francis, Hardwell and Afrojack, the Dutch dance takeover has been rocking the States in all major festivals.
Stockholm-born Alessandro Lindblad ALESSO, had made the right decision when he sold his motorized scooter for his first studio set-up. Currently a regular at some of the world’s largest festivals and collaborating with such producers as Sebastian Ingrosso, Calvin Harris and One Republic, Alesso continues to bring uplifting moments to the forefront of global dance music. From the debut of his first single "Nillionaire", he has had successive Beatport chart-toppers. Having played the main stages of Ultra Festivals around the world, the Swedish talent will set the floor on fire for the first time in Bangkok with his pulsating progressive.
Willem van Hanegem and Wardt van der Harst are collectively known as W&W. Since 2007, the DJ duo has transcended the boundaries of genre and traversed the globe with their music and performances. Fusing styles and mixing influences, W&W’s style combines the uplifting and melodic elements of trance with the raw intensity of electro and progressiveness of house. Their unique sound is championed by big names like Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and David Guetta. Currently at #14 in the DJ Mag Top 100, they are also dominating dance floors and festivals around the globe including Miami Music Week and global Ultra Festivals.
One of the most defining figures in house music, the famous FEDDE LE GRAND is the act that house fans just cannot miss. Added to countless awards and remixes for Coldplay, Madonna, will.i.am, Robbie Williams, Everything But The Girl and Fatboy Slim, the Dutch DJ/producer boasts a strings of releases featuring the 2006 single "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" that brought him to global attention. When it comes to casting a spell on big festivals and legendary dance floors, the house hero of course never fails to please the crowd.
In addition to the headlining artists, local electronic artists including DJs Sunzone, Oatawa, Kolor One and Funky Gangster will provide musical support for this much-awaited festival.
